Beating CF....thank you for that post. You are what I am striving to be (again).

Quick question: you have a doc's RX for the above program? If so, details!

I strength train, and i just got back from the gym. I'm not huge (5'11 200 lbs, medium size), but I have a nice chest and arms. You can tell I work out. I max bench @ 405lbs, and tonight I did 3 sets of 10 reps @ 365lbs on bench. I am a pretty strong man, and i'm in great shape in general.

Yeah I like to look better, but why would I want to be some huge muscle bound guy?

</end quote></div>

Buddy... if you're 5'11, 200 pounds, your not "medium size". Everyone I know at that height/weight are pretty damn big. Secondly if your benching 405 pounds at 200 pounds you are definitely a.) a muscle bound guy or b.) on drugs c.) lying.

I've never seen anyone bench 400 pounds at 200, but if you're serious that's great.</end quote></div>

I can bench 185 for 8-10 reps and I'm only 135-140lbs and don't do steroids so that's nothing out of the ordinary for someone who trains regularly and weighs that much. Note: when I first started weight lifting I had a hard time benching just the bar (which is only 45lbs by the way!) and when I saw people doing that I thought "Holy hell all these people are freaks or I'm just really weak!" Well eventually I cought up and now I can bench more than what alot of older healthy people can do, it just takes perseverance and progression but it will come. So if you are someone that doesn't train regularly enough or follow a proper progression rutine for a while then I can understand why you see it this way but trust me it's not unbelievable nor does he have to be on the juice...

i never said it was unbelievable. he said he wasn't a big guy. but 200 at 5'11 is a big guy imo. i'm not knocking him, i'm just saying that being 200 at 5'11, and benching 400, you are a big guy. my dad is 5'11, 220 and he's massive. if he lost 20 pounds he'd still be pretty damn big. he's been working out pretty much his whole life and he even said benching 400 at 200 pounds is very rare.

also before i got a bad cold a few months ago i was on a routine, but i haven't gotten back to what i should be doing yet, it's taking longer than expected.

you say you can do 185, 10 times, i believe that. can you do a one time max bench of 300? double your body weight? i have friends that are 200 pounds and huge (go to the gym consistently) and have trouble putting up 300 pounds once.
