Wow anon at 3:23 on 9/22, you really post before you get your facts straight don't you. Are you illiterate or did you just miss the part about the fact that my husband stays home.... THey aren't deprived of our full attention. but what family has 2 parents who are able to be home all the time. Ummmmm, millionaires and they usually have pretty screwed up kids.

And we didn't decide to get pregnant on a whim, it was 5+++ years of planning and saving money. What we didn't count on was having triplets, nobody plans for that. But my children are such a blessing and I can't inagine life without them now.

Thanks for your useless post.

Thanks Alisha. As with anything in life, there are good things, but there are also a handful of things that are so bad and effect more than just the service member. The military doesn't often consider that..... If I need to vent, I'll be sure to PM you. THanks so much!

Auntie Jen,

Unfortunately there is no personal leave, or anything like that in the military. There is a "vacation" type leave that we accru each month to be used for vacation stuff and personal time off (so I guess it could be considered personal leave) but anything medical related (going home sick, hospitalized, bedrest, surgery....) is considered convelescent leave and can not be deducted from the personal/vacation leave. I hope that makes sense.

I do have 30 days of personal/vacation leave, but they won't let me take that after my 6 weeks of convelescent leave. I don't know what their deal is.

THanks Mike, the 6 weeks is separate from any vacation/personal leave. I've requested to take my accrued personal leave (about 30 days I have on the books right now) but they denied that too. Someting about being short staffed. The thing is, #1, their piss poor planning is NOT my problem and #2, when I went on bedrest back in April/May, I showed them an instruction where they could put me in a temporary placement unit until I was done with the delivery and recovery and that would enable them to get a temporary replacement for me, whilch would have beein in their best interest because I will be gone for a total of about 6 months. But they didn'tthink that was a good idea.... therefore, I could care less about their "short staffing".
