I'm 35 and have discovered that I recently have been diagnosed with CFRD. I was getting sick so much that I knew something wasn't right. I was tired all the time and had no motivation to do anything. However, now, it's a new freaking day. I discovered what a little insulin can do for me. I'm feeling like a new person and want to gain some muscle, but wan to remove the belly. What if anything can I do about this? I know I need to hit the gym and start doing crunches like there's no tomorrow, can anyone give me some tips on how to remove the buddha belly, or am I stuck with this???

I just recently read that the distended stomach has to do with excess gas. What I read didn't give any real advice as to how to eliminate it, other than trying to avoid certain foods one at a time to see if you have an allergy (dairy, yeast, etc).

It seemed it was pretty much a symptom of the GI issues with CF.

Take Care,
Terry

Gas? Well, we all have gas. Do you mean it's blocked or cannot be released. As far as I know, the release of it never seems to be an issue for me....( all kidding aside). The distension seems perhaps maybe to be more related to the malabsorption, if I understood what I was reading. I am a 34, so it's not like it's that bad, but you can't exactly where tight shirts or anything without the belly being seen.....I'd sure love to lose it, but maybe I'm asking too much.
