caroline-yes i am exclusively breastfeeding, and come to think of it, no those girls weren't breastfeeding. isn't there still a chance you can get pregnant while breastfeeding?

i think i am going to get on the mini pill. the mirena is $600.00, my insurance covers it at 100%, but i will have to pay for it up front and they say they will reiburse me and i'm scared i won't get it back. i know a child cost more than $600.00 so i'm not sure why i'm so worried about it.

thanks for all of your inputs, it has really helped. i love these forums <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I started the mini pill at 6 weeks and resumed intercourse after a "go ahead" from my OB that all was healed down there at my 6 week checkup.

I'm glad you are being cautious about not getting pregnant again too quickly. It takes a long time for all the effects of pregnancy to be over. Right now I am loosing tons of hair, who knew that's normal 4 mo. post having a baby. Hormonally there are big changes happening is my understanding.

Please make sure you are taking extra good care of your lungs.
clearance, clearance, clearance.

I have heard that in the first yr after giving birth is a strong chance, if u want a time frame. However, anytime is possible. I dont want to freak u out, but I just wanted to say that.

I have a question about the mini pills, are they used to keep someone from getting pregnant? How do they "work"? I take BCP now, but with being on antibiotics on and off and recent issues with BCP, I wanted to look into different options. I thought about IUDs, but the more I read, I just dont think that would be right for me. Also, insurance coverage would be an issue. I know standard protection is there, but it's something that causes other problems.
