anyone have a gtube?

hello im new to the site. i have a son and a daughter with cf. my son is 8 and my daughter is 2. my son didn't have to have a g-tube but my daughter did. she had it in for about eight months and gained weight really good. when we were on vacation this year she pulled it out and none of the hospitals could put it back in. but she continued to gain weight on her own so they decided to leave it out. it did help her gain weight and she did really did good with it. hang in there.

I have had mine for only 2.5 years now (when I was 10), and I think it is pretty useful, because when I do it, I don't have to eat breakfast in the morning, which is a GREAT time saver!

Hi, I've had a G-tube since i was about 11 and got off it for about 2 years I'm 18 now and i have a GJ tube. They are annoying especially when its hard for me to even handle 1 can . i get so stuffed from the food that it makes it hard to breathe. i try to do it over 3 1/2 hours but its sooo hard. in teh past couple months i've lost about 10 lbs that i need to gain back in order to have a transplant soon. anybody have any tips i also hate the shakes liek ensure and all <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
