To me, the tree is about the "season" NOT the event behind the holiday. I realize everyone is different and others will feel differently, but we can't all take offense to everything that WE don't personally agree with.

I heard that he had threatened to sue from some sources, like newspaper articles and some tv stations, but then I saw on CNN-which I consider the most reputable of them all-that he hadn't threatened to sue at all. He asked the airport to add a menorah to the decorations since there was already a christmas tree up. It became a huge story when there really was no huge story-the airport pulled the tree down, and claimed the rabbi had demanded it when that wasn't what happened at all. He just wanted fair religious recognition.
I think personally this was a story that got out of hand and exagerrated. I have since seen on most reputable tv news shows that he never sued at all-he just asked for equality, and he hired a lawyer to protect himself after this got blown out of hand in case he needed it.

I'm not on either side!-I'm a Christian, but I don't celebrate Christmas....so I'm not partial to either side!!! lol. Just sharing what I had heard.
