bacteria in showerheads...new study

I've often wondered what I should do about this as this has been a known issue for years. Now that I have read this new article I was curious if anyone uses a filtered shower head of does anything to disinfect their shower head.

Yes, i have been using filter heads for a while.
I like the kind with a spray wand..

But I started using then because the chlorine was burning my eye's
and it smelled so bad.
There are Tons of them at your local Lowe's or any other Hardware Store.

I heard or read in the past that shower wands are the worst culprits for bacteria since people can touch them to their bodies and they pick up bacteria that can then grow on/in the shower head and then get airborne.
