VERY interesting you would say that Zeeannie... I've been working night shift lately and have been on TOBI. By poor brother/roommate has had to put up with me being a JERK every afternoon/evening when I wake up. I thought it was just because I've been on night shift, but I finally finished TOBI a few days ago and I seem to be MUCH more pleasant. I never would have connected it with TOBI.
I have wondered though if my sleep is much worse when on TOBI because I always feel tired = crabby and it takes forever to get out of bed. I'll test the next few days and really pay attention.

Cipro used to make me ,er, irritable/grumpy/difficult to get along with, but since one of my doctor's lowered my dosage, I don't have that issue anymore. I seem to remember that reading that that can be a (lesser occuring) side effect of Cipro, so it's probably true for other antibiotics too <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> .

Sophie sleeps poorly as well during TOBI due to extra coughing. It seems that the TOBI irritates her throat. Her cough is dry, that's why I believe it's irritation and not increased mucus or movement. Must be a combination of poor sleep and the antibiotics. I think antibiotics in general, no matter who takes them, tend to take something out of you.

Let me know if you come to any conclusions...

Antibiotics definitely make my 10 year old son irritable and sassy. I used to think it was just him being difficult, but I think the antibiotics have a role in his behavior. He gets progressively better every day he is off the meds. Even oral bactrim makes him nasty. But usually by the third day after he finished the antibiotic he is back to himself.
