Boiling Nebs

I also wash in soapy water and boil for 10 minutes. I don't use the dishwasher, because I don't run it every day, plus I'm worried about getting crumbs in the neb cups 'cuz I don't usually rinse my dishes. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I DO use vinegar once in awhile to get rid of hard water deposits. Not so much an issue now that we've replaced our water softener.

I seem to recall a similar conversation earlier this year when we were discussing making sterile water for sinus rinses. There were different views on how long to boil the water to kill all the germs.

It does say in the CFF paper that vinegar is not strong enough to kill the germs in the neb cups.

If my memory serves me correctly, the dishwasher would need to be one that actually has a sterilzing setting. We just replaced our dishwasher a few months ago, and that was something that I told my hubby that we HAD to have. Although, I still seem to boil ours instead of putting in the dishwasher...
