My dream car (my BIL owned one back in the day) is the 2 door T-Bird .. The old one , not the new version..

My EX and i owned a 68 SS Camaro Convertible w/ AC. My husband restored it and it was beautiful..

We sold it for a down payment for our home.. Broke my heart.. We heard that the car was used in a movie.. Not sure if that was true though..

Ahhhh the good old car days lol joni

Shebyville,

Love the pics. That red Shelby is a dream.

Joni, I also loved the old T bird. I have owned 2 Camaros -- always wanted one because they used to give them away on "Let's Make a Deal." Than and the Firebirds.

Paula, my true dream car was a Corvette ever from way back when the rich girl in town got one at 17 and kept driving past the "havenots" showing off.

I finally got my dream in '91 and I am waiting for just the right light to photograph it, because the shine has dulled after 2 years of having it sit at one point. But it is looks pretty much like your husband's. It's a bluish grey but oh, how I wish I had gotten the red.

Love it, Robert. Some things never change. And even back in my day, the Mustangs were considered the coolest.

My first car was my parents old Dodge. When I was eleven my Dad took me with him to buy a brand new car. We walked into the showroom and there it was... a hot looking light blue 2 door convertible with all leather interior with bucket seats. I was drooling.

My father told me I could pick out the car he was going to buy. The hot sporty car or a boring 4 door family style Dodge, but it had air conditioning -- which seemed pretty exciting at the time. New York summers are hot! I looked at the light blue dreamy convertible, picturing my family being the envy of all the neighbors. Then I looked at the family car with the air conditioning. I closed my eyes to think...what to do? What to do? Be cool or practical?

I picked the family car. Yep! What eleven year old is practical! And when I turned 17? You guessed it. I was driving around town in...the old family Dodge. Had I had ANY foresight at all, it would have been ME zipping around town right next to Patty Richkid and her Corvette.

And now I have a Corvette and nobody cares.
