To add insult to injury, it seems even people WITHOUT mutations can have CF, heheheh...

VERY interesting article Spacemom. Though true in every field of study, it's a good reminder that there is SO much that is beyond our current state of knowledge. While we naturally hinge some assumptions on "facts," the only fact in science is that there are no facts in science.

Spacemom I found that article quite interesting. Something my hubby and I have discussed often is the fact that our oldest son, who docs label a carrier, is ill with respiratory problems more often than Jordan our CFer. As a matter of fact, so am I.

My hubby has told me for about a year now that he thinks I am more than just a carrier. In our discussion I brought up the possibility that we are so careful with Jordan and his exposure to illness that maybe we (my other son and I) get ill more often because we are not as careful with ourselves. Hubby countered with the fact that Jordan is on maintenance medications, so therefore he is healthier. He also pointed out that my oldest child lives away from home now, but we both still have as many respiratory issues as when he lived at home. Meaning they aren't something he caught from me or vice versa.

The more I learn about CF, the more symptoms I recognize in myself and my oldest son. Anyway, I find it all very interesting, and maybe a little troubling. lol Thanks for posting the article.
