I would take him in. And when they call you back, just ask them what time they want you there today, not if they want you to bring him in <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> . Stick with your momma instincts ((hug)).

The fact that the CF clinic didnt see him or the xrays makes me nervous.

The ER can miss things that a clinic can catch. Maybe its a plug & maybe its not....maybe something has changed since having the xray!

The point is he hurts when breathing & that wont allow for proper breathing or treatments which leads to additional problems!

HUGS & Let us know!

My 10 year old CF'er has chest pains like that a lot... Never with a fever or anything but extreme chest pains and saying she can't hardly breath. She says it hurts when she tries to breath in. I have talked to the dr about it several times but they have no explaination. It has been happening for about a year now. It is random and happens maybe once or twice a month...it lasts for maybe 10-15 mintues each time. I can tell it really scares her but I have no idea what else to do. She is really healthy as far as her lungs go and has no regular cough at all. In fact, she's never had a lung infection (may sinsus surgeries but that's all)... I hope you figure something out... and if you do, please let me know!

The Clinic called back and Austins normal Cf doctor seems to think its more of a bronchitis than a pneumonia and wants to increase his vest to 3 times a day and to finish his Augmentin. If no better friday to bring him in.

And of course this afternoon Austin said it is feeling better. Of course after all of the phone calls and everything. But we shall see.
