Christmas gift only a CFer would ask for :-)

My husband was talking to my 6 year old a few days before Christmas and asked her what she wanted for Christmas. She told him that she wanted her own salt shaker so she could add her own salt to her food whenever she wanted. We thought it was the funniest thing ever! Of course we had to run out the day before Christmas Eve and get her her own....my husband had to go with the best for his little girl :)

This was too cute not to share! Any of your kids ask for something totally random that only a CFer would ask for?

That is too cute! And not a bad idea actually. Everytime I take the girls out to eat I cringe when they reach for the salt shaker because of the thought of all the germs on it. I think I'll buy them one of those kind that you would take camping and let them keep it in their purses... lol...

Thanks for sharing. That was very sweet. I am trying to think of something unusual that my girls have asked for but my mind is drawing a blank... I'm sure I'll think of something later.

Do they crave salt because of the salt loss in their sweat, or is it that the doctors tell them to eat more salt because they need it for the same reason? I guess I'm asking if your daughter WANTS lots of salt or if she is just following doctors orders.

My daughter craves it. She's never been told she needed to eat it, but she has always loved it. I mean LOVES it.... I tried eating some popcorn last night that she had left in a bowl and it nearly choked me to death there was so much salt on it. And that's how she eats everything. She has never liked sugar... she will not eat cereal with sugar on it, but it if she can salt it, she will eat it.

When I was little, back in the late 70's..cf kids were on a no fat diet because enzymes did not work as well then. I grew up watching my brother eat real pork bacon while I had the card-board crap<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Anyway, when I was four years old I asked Santa for real bacon....that was all I wanted for Christmas that year.....

Oh, oh, oh....at 14, he asked or his own fridge and microwave because he was ALWAYS hungry lol.
