My 4-year old has been asking for McDonalds french fries everday after school lately. I pour 1/2 of the salt on his fries........Should I be putting the whole packet??

If he'll eat them, yeah. Put as much salt on those things as you like. You can actually become salt deficient, believe it or not. And as CFers sweat so much damn salt, you won't hurt him by allowing him to eat it. I've always salted whatever I want, and as much as I want, and no one stops me. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Oh and if you mean one of those little salt packets that McD's has... one isn't even that much. I'll use like 5 or 6 (easy) for one thing of fries.

Taylor knows that she needs salt, but she also LOVES it! She loves pickles, olives, ANYTHING with salt...always has. The only problem we have now is that Kenzie, our 3 year old w/o CF, also loves salt and can't understand why big sis can have so much and she can't...oh, the life of CF :)

I think its b/c we lose alot more salt in our sweat than the average person.

My aunt always tells me how when I was about 5, when I'd go over to her house, she'd greet me and hug me and I'd just say-m'kay, where's the potato chips?

Still do today!
