I have to admit I too and a Rinser .

I have been for Years and years. i use the Pari LC
Plus. I do clean them and use them for a few months.
I do not use them for 6 months as they say ...
I also buy the cheapo 2 dollar throw aways. I use
them for 3 days and chuck them. They work well for
my HS.

I guess I should get back into proper cleaning...

haha, when the two oldest CFers in the place admit to being 'rinsers' it kind of makes the whole clean/sterilise point a bit moot doesn't it? Hell it's not like we don't already have enough crap to do every single day of our lives, if we can get away with not doing this sterilisation drama, i'm all for it personally!!

Having said that, currently, i wash and soak all my nebs in very hot soapy water for about half an hour, then rinse thoroughly, then put everything through a baby bottle steriliser, after every single use, every day. And i've cultured the same bugs for years, with nothing new ever showing up.

Everything that I have read in this thread I have done from boiling to dishwasher to vinegar to soapy water. I used to use just warm tap water and soap between each usage but I noticed my nebulizer turning yellow from the tap water and it freaked me out. So I stopped cleaning my neb pieces that way.

Basically the best cleaning way that I have noticed after all that I've tried is to wash my nebulizer between each treatment with warm water and Dawn soap. I have been told by my doctor that distilled water is the best to use with nebs and not tap water. Then every night I use my Philips Avent Steam sterilizer (used for baby bottles). The sterilizer has been approved to clean nebulizers. I make sure to put distilled water in my sterilizer instead of tap. Hope this helps and I hope you find what works for you.
