BTW Jennifer, please don't leave the forum over this-obviously other people are just as disgusted as you. If anyone should leave it should be the people encouraging drug use.

I can assure you farbeyond1 (who happens to be the love of my life- Mike) posted that as a joke. He was bewildered by all the people who were trying to defend pot so he made a big joke out of it, trying to make a point. I am amazed anyone thought he might be serious, but again this is the internet and you never know what is sincere and what is not.
Both of us have had issues in the past but as long as we have been togehter, neither of us has even touched a drop of alochol, or anything else for that matter. He was joking. And so was everyone else. I can assure you only those with a death wish would do those things.

I think knowing the people who were discussing that brought light to the fact that it was a joke. I can see how it could be misinterpreted though. Just wanted to say that similar thread came up a while ago, cigarettes, smoking pot, etc and I was so struck that people on here would even seriously be discussing whether you <b>can</b> smoke or not, that I went into joke mode. Things so over the top are an easy way to get people into joke mode. So I wrote a return thread about heroin and cf....I couldn't resist since the sound of all the drug talk was just so insane.
To give another light on a similar situation, below is that thread where people knew to joke about it. It seemed like the best way to purge all the drug talk....and take one step further past insane.

Oh, good grief, I can't even believe what I just read from some of you!! Has anyone ever heard of the word "sarcasm"!? Honestly, now we have to be policed as to what we discuss on an OPEN ADULT FORUM!? That sickens me more than drug talk! This is the INTERNET, people! The one place were people don't have to be censored, and lo and behold, some of you want everything to be kid-friendly and supervised...
Well, I have one thing to say to everyone that decides to keep their kids away from this forum; good. Because they don't need to be on an ADULT board, anyway! Its called ADULT for a reason!! On top of that, have any of you actually been to a high school recently, or even a middle school for that matter?! You think what we discussed here is bad? I learned more about drugs in school (and I'm not talking classes, either) than anything I've seen on the internet! Kids are around drug talk every time they enter the school building, and you think by keeping them off this board you're protecting them? Give me a break!

I think most of what I had to say has been covered so just scratch me on the side of "get a sense of humor". I didn't even participate in the thread but I did find myself laughing out loud. And I appreciate anything that can add a chuckle to my day. I say kudos to those who can infuse a litttle humor into a touchy topic.
