Hi all!
As a music major, I was interested to come across this article about one of the great romantic era composers Frederic Chopin.
A 1987 article and an update in 2003 suggest that he may have died from cystic fibrosis rather than the default lung disease of the era, tuberculosis.
This idea comes from his lack of children though he was married to George Sand (a woman), frequent weight loss during sickness, a sister who died at age 14, and an autopsy report which concludes that the coroner had never encountered his specific disease before.
You can download the PDF of the med journal report here

</a>
Thought I'd share with everyone. It's pretty interesting to think that one of the greatest minds in history might have had cf.
