Hi all,
My daughter Kate is almost four and has been very healthy so far. I have a one year old that does not have CF and on her first day in daycare brought home a lovely green snot and cough. Kate ended up getting it almost a week later. Well, we are coming up on FOUR weeks now. Took her to the pedicatrician and they gave a Z- Pac. Still coughing after that. CF dr. prescribed Bactrim over the phone. STill coughing. So they prescribed another course of it yesterday saying sometimes it can take a couple more weeks on it. I am sooo frustrated! Kate normally doesn't cough at all! I don't know if this is a virus or what. At first I wasn't freaking out since my non-CFer is also sick (it took her two rounds of amoxicillan so this must be a strong bug.) My question is, do you think I am being aggressive enough? We are doing almost 2 hours a day of the vest (and I work so this is early am and dinner hours). Can I get some opinions on what you would do in the same situation?
Thanks,
Zoe mom to Kate wCF
