Mine hasn't been normal since I was a teenager. I had one for my transplant evaluation and that's when I was told that I have osteoporosis. Since I now also take Prednisone every day, it is required that I have a DEXA scan every year. I'm also on calcium every day and 50,000 units of vitamin D two times a week.</end quote></div>
Patti they don't have you on anything else like Forteo, Fosamax, Boniva, Actonel, Reclast?
That's very surprising that they're not treating your osteoperosis <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"></end quote></div>
They had talked about putting me on that (Fosamax) at one point and then they didn't want to because it would either interact with my medications or mess with my liver functions or something. They are hoping that the calcium and high doses of vitamin D will help it.
