We always let our daughter 5.5 wcf pick out a toy from the gift shop or the Target we pass on the way home and we always eat at the restraunt of her choice. She loves going to clinic!

Since our clinic is in the City -- 3-4 hour drive. We make a weekend trip out of it. We arrive for our appointment in the early afternoon -- usually have time to check into our hotel first. Then after the clinic we go to the Lego Store at the Mall for a toy, sometimes we go to the Museum or zoo...

If I take the whole day off we go to lunch and sometimes a movie. We usually giver her a video or new crayons and coloring book as well.
Going every two months now makes this hard because I can't always take a whole day off sometimes it is just a half day so we rush to get her dropped off and me back to work.

I also used to bring a new coloring book or a new small toy (so they wouldn't be tempted to touch the yucky ones there at the clinic). But now they bury their little noses in a video game.
