Dude, Ya Know, I think you hit the nail on the head. CF is not a consistant disease, there are no real ways to guantify/ qualify the effects it will have on your life. Just as there are many external factors that can effect how you handle having CF.
There are so many variables, even if you are the most complient person in the world.
Example: my daughter was a star soccer player, an A student, "good" patient with maintaining her therpies and meds. She had many friends, was active at our church. Most people were surprized to learn that she had had CF since birth. That was when she was 15. With in 1 year of that time she was home schooled as her MD didn't want her surrounded by the mainstram colds and viruses, on a steroid dose that had completly changed the way she looked, was on insulin, was so depressed that she refused all calls from friends, had a port sugically placed, had a G-tube surgically placed. Hence, this drastically affected her social life.
I hope you stay strong, it's hard, you seem to have a flare for writing, good luck to you.
