Dr thinks son may have CF

My kids sweat test results were ready in just a few hours. I have heard others say a day or two. So I guess it all depends on your clinic. Genetic tests can take up to 6 weeks though. Good Luck! I hope you get some answers.

I'm so frusterated. They said the results would be at my Dr's today and they aren't. I just want to know so I can deal with whichever outcome. I hate this waiting game! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Could you ask to speak with one of the nurses or the doctor and explain thay you'd really, really like to find out today, so you're not worrying over the weekend. Besides, if it's just a sweat test, the results should NOT take very long. We know after a couple hours, one family I know knew right away...

Help! My grandson Charlie, born 2/1/08 has come back with viral markers for CF. He will have a sweat test on 3/3....and I have told mom and dad to get genetic testing done too. Can anyone tell me early signs of CF? He is breastfed and nurses every 2 hrs....he seems to have alot of gas, and cries before he has a bm. His stools are orange in color and has small amount of mucus in it....I have no idea of what a "greesy stool" looks like. He does not have a salty taste, but his skin does seem very dry....his tummy even flakes dispite using baby lotion. I am so scared, and want to find out as much as I can. I have a thousand questions, and have no where to turn it seems.
