Foundation Care told me that the minerals from the faucet will get lodged in the head.... and will be difficult to remove (pouring distilled water over the head after that will not remove those minerals). If it were that easy to remove particles lodged in the head, neb times would never increase!!!

The pressure isn't that big of a deal. not clogging is the bigger issue.....

Bottomline, I love distilled water and no use of tap water ever.</end quote>

Amy, I copied this from your blog on the eflow:
I want to keep you guys in the loop of my eFlow experience.

It's been two weeks that i've had the thing and I've learned quite a big.

#1, I'm not rinsing the head under the faucet for long enough. I was doing it for about 5 seconds on each side of the head, but I should be doing it for 10 seconds.

#2 I was taking the head from the faucet right to the alcohol. I should be rinsing it with distilled water 1st to get any weird minerals off of the head that might have come from my tap.

When I called Foundation Care last week I spoke to Pat (Melissa was away) and I told her that I was rinsing under tap water for 10 seconds each side, like stated in your blog, then rinsing off with distilled water. She said that was correct and that the distilled water would remove the mineral deposits from the tap water.

It sounds like from your earlier post on this thread that you are no longer doing the 2 steps you outlined above or am I misunderstanding you?

You are 100% correct. I should go back and change that.

I spoke to Mike and Melissa and both told me they have revised what they tell people to do. But you are correct - I can't remember who it was but they told me to do the tap water. Then they changed their story.

So I'll change my blog. Thanks so much for pointing that out to me - I completely forget that I had that posted.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. It would be nice if all their employees were consistent with the info they give out for cleaning the eflow. I think I will call Melissa this week and run what I am doing by her. Thanks Amy

Rao is going to have to order one for you from Foundation Care.

This is the only pharmacy you can get it from, Khristina, if you live in CA

Nope, CF Services Pharmacy does not have it.

As I said earlier this thread, there are only 3 companies in the US that have the eFlow, and they serve different geographies. For CA, Foundation Care is the only pharmacy there.

And you will find Rao more apt to prescribe it because I've pushed him over Tell Diane I say hi. I love her.
