Greatest FEV1 increase with exercise!!!

For me, I've been doing 3 miles a day every day except on days when I play tennis.

However, I've been trying to work myself up to higher mileage. Today I ran 4, and I've decided that I eventually want to run a half-marathon.

About having off days, it's your call. If your legs are burning and you can't do it, don't. You'll just wake up more sore the next morning. if my legs are sore, I start out running and eventually transition to powerwalking, which is what I did yesterday after a rather long tennis game.

Good luck, and be in good health always.

Missy,

We gave up trying to have kids...We tried for 3 years with no success at all of any kind.

Both of us had all the testing in the world and the only explanation that we received was 'possibly cervical mucus issues'??? Otherwise, my infertility is unexplained...Hubby was more than fine...

My doctor did feel that IUI would have been enough, but Jake and I weren't too keen on chancing having multiples because of the use of drugs like Clomid.

My fertility rate is about 1% each month after 3 years of trying so Jake and I decided it was time to 'close the door'. I decided to go back on the pill 2 months ago. Not that I need to avoid pregnancy, but I have VERY heavy periods. I thought why should I deal with them if it wasn't going to matter anyway?

However not all hope is lost...Jake and I have decided to pursue the fost/adopt program. We are currently getting homestudy approved and could have a child placed with us by November! All our paperwork is in, and we only have 3 parenting classes yet to attend. I think for us this is the best of both worlds. We are helping a child that needs us. If the child goes back to birth parents, then so be it. However, if the child comes up for adoption, Jake and I have a chance. If my health does great during the 15 months as a foster parent, then we will surely adopt. If not, we will take it from there. At least, we aren't locked into anything.

Anyway, I only went further with this because you asked. I don't really intend to say much until a child is actually placed in our home.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone by posting this in an exercise thread. I thought it would be okay since I started the tread.

Off the topic...

Jenny,

Just wanted to drop you a note regarding adoption. My wife and I adopted 2 babies 32 yrs. ago. Nothing like being a parent and especially being a grandparent. Good luck on the adoption.
