Thanks for your support. I made it slightly more than 15 minutes. I have a date for at least ten minutes tomorrow. I chose the most popular time to work out so I probably could have made it longer but I was gurgling and definitely in position of some fabulous lung treasures that I wasn't prepared to unearth with company.

if spitting the mucus into a towel like Nicole mentioned isn't your thing, you could bring with you a small tylenol bottle that would also be very discreet. Don't hold back on the coughing, it's all part of the benefits of working out. Maybe we should make some workout shirts...."I'm not contagious, I have cf."

Well, etabetac, you have helped inspire me to do some exercise!!! I got on the treadmill this afternoon for a whole 5 min. - with my o2, of course.

I have always hated exercise. Never was an active person. Every time I get the habit established I get sick or have a bad headache, or stomach problems, etc. so that I take a break from it for a day or two and then I have a hard time remembering to start up again!!!

I am most influenced by reading how others on here are faithful in pursuing it, even when they aren't feeling well. Some do it even when in the hospital! And you DO feel better, it's just so hard to maintain the habit.

So I know what you're talking about. I had thought this morning before church "This afternoon I'm going to do 5 min. It's a start and better than nothing" then I forgot about it until I saw your post...so THANKS! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> Now tomorrow I'll try for 5 min. or MORE!!!
