Yeah Debbi and etabetac!!

Good job Great Job actually! I have read that if you work out religiously for a period of 4-6 weeks the hormones in your brain are altered to the point of bieng 'addicted' in the sense that you just dont feel as good if you dont do it. I truly believe this because I have went a whole week without this year 2 differetn times and I just felt lousy and didnt sleep well at all. It really is a vicious cycle because then I was so tired I didnt want to get back to my routine so I completely understand how that goes. Up until this year I was exactly like Debbi mentioend, get in the habit, hit a bump-kablooey out goes habit. It is only now that I pencil it in like all the other improtant things that I am really good at keeping it together.

I am to the point now where I try very very hard to work out when I am feeling ill, I got a cold that I could tell was setting in last night and today I feel rotten but I rested as much as I could aside from my gym time, I did the bike so my body could rest and not get too sore but I did it for 45 minutes and when I got out I coughed up some good stuff that I coudltn get up before! THAT was a great reward, if only I can keep from getting truly sick that will be an even better reward.

take care all and keep up the hard work!

Yay for you Aspiemom! It's hard isn't it? But we did it. I feel like such a wimp for complaining about doing it because there are people who have a much more difficult time than I do doing exercise. But we have to start somewhere, don't we? I lost my baseline and that's scary. I think I may be slightly depressed by this and maybe this has impacted my reluctance to do exercise. Even if I don't have the same baseline, I want to be able to breathe as well as I can. Best of luck to you doing this exercise thing too.

I've been trying to eat at home more too since for the last year I bet I haven't eaten at home more than 4 times a week, including breakfast, and that usually means I don't get a balanced diet. I'm trying really hard to be healthy. I used to think treatment compliance was enough but my body is really starting to feel the toll from lack of exercise, unhealthy diet, and lack of sleep. I am trying so hard to live a balanced life. Now if only I could get organized.

I know its probably not for everyone but what I do to help myself eat healthier meals regardless of if I am trying to loose weight or not is prepare ahead. For example we have a large fridge at my work so I prepare a bunch of whatever I want to have for the week adn take it in on monday. This week I am having chicken wrap with cottage cheese veggies an hummus so I made 5 grilled chicken breast tongiht chopped veggies etc then I just take out some each day and make my food. I do same for breakfast mostly that I will just have same thing M-F so that is saves me alot of time and effort and the choice is already made for me, I vary what I have from week to week so its not too boring. Before I did this I would take something different each day and I would pack my lucnh back the night before so that I didnt end up running late and having to eat at our cafeteria which is yucko, expensive and unhealthy.

Thanks. I did the same thing last week and am doing the same this week. As I live alone, I went ahead and prepared my dinner too because that was the hardest one for me to either eat or prepare. I sneak vegetables into my own meals by shredding or cutting finely. At least this way I don't have to worry about any hidden fats. Even though I'm pretty much PS I still get the stomach funk. The last two weeks I've made casseroles because they are either to wrap up. I may try making enchiladas next week, which are much healthier and cheaper than the ones you would get in a cafeteria or store. Thanks again for all your help!
