It really doesn't matter, Eric Holder WILL get the nomination anyways, Republicans just want to save what little face they have and have it look like they aren't bending to the will of the 80% approval rating President. The fact of the matter is that Democrats basically control Congress, so I fully expect every single person he nominated to get confirmed. If a Republithug blocks a nomination, and they don't get confirmed, they might as well as hand in their resignation right away, as they'll practically be blacklisted, and definitely not elected next time.

where the f were you Brad in Reagan's time?!

With Carter (Democrat) on his way out, he (He=Carter) left a big mess, including a handful of hostages and an oil Crisis (Hence, the Birth of OPEC),

Reagan walked in there like in one of his movie scenes and put some strict policies to boost the 'saggy' economy back then. He didn't just fall into it at the right time, with things "falling" into his lap.
With Bush Sr. in for a while, he kept the Reagan dream going, and CLINTON was the one who reaped what Reagan sowed!

FINE! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think so..!

And I think its BS that a major newspaper has to be so biased when reporting anything!

Fair and Balanced....

When Jimmy Carter left office, he left a mess for the next elect President, Reagan (spelled with an "a").

Bush Sr. followed behind Reagan, thus keeping a lot of policies active (or the S**t would've hit the fan sooner).

Clinton didn't just "fall" into a presidency with a good economy, and I don't think he ever made any major effect his first day in office.

The economy in Carter's time took time to heal, and it was during Reagan's post that things were gradually getting better.

So, if all you Demo's are pointing fingers at Bush for the current situation (but I don't believe subprime loans were regulated by the gov, though they should've), then it seems fair and balanced for the next prez to deal with the past several years...however, the Terrorist threat has been shown to be a problem since 1975 (at the latest), and continued through the Clinton years without any actions taken...

And, I was working at minimum wage ($3.35 back then!) while getting my a$$ through college in the Reagan Years.
