Your link said nothing in regards to the Operation to rescue Hostages with Perot.

In a search for Perot and Iran, I only found some "successfull rescue" that Perot did for two POW's, nothing mentioned Hostages, nor the messed-up rescue...

In spite, the boched up rescue of Carter's (the one with the Heli's), was still with Carter's signature on it for an "OK", since he's the Commander in Chief of the Military, not Perot.

Quote from the book...(Did you ever bother to read ANY of it?!)

"...At first the planners considered smuggling a military rescue team into Iran by increments, an idea modelled on a successful Tehran rescue operation previously ordered by the Texas billionaire and later US presidential candidate, H. Ross Perot..."

Do I have to teach you English, too?! This quote means that the planners (for the helecopter rescue) were going to use the same idea of a different rescue that was done by Perot (who went to go save his employees). It goes on to explain how Perot's idea was successfull...
You are claiming that this helecopter rescue was funded, decided and practically conducted by Perot, not Carter. This, is wrong...You are mixing up two different situatons and you get an "F" for research, I won't even get into the English aspect.

Clarifying my point, I stated that the helecopter rescue to get the hostages (44 I believe) that were relased on the innaugeral date of Reagan, was the rescue that turned into a disaster and was under Carter's call...you claim it to not be the case, yet you show no proof.

Shall I just bluntly say you are wrong?

Its fine to disagree, but when statements cannot be supported by any means of facts, it becomes "rumor", or an individual's mislead thought. Although propaganda can play in the formula, my understanding and recollection from my Essay & Research class was to show at least two (maybe three) different sources to support the claim....I've seen two of yours, neither of which supported your claim..wanna try for three?!

This is my opinion and not directed to only one person:

This is where some points in politics becomes a problem. Many go by hearsay, few go by facts, and no one seems to do any research to support their claims, especially when they start criticizing, calling names and pointing fingers at those who they have an issue with. When there are things in politics that you believe in, some cases its like Religion.

For example, Some are for abortion, some against...some feel the labor workers should get the better tax cuts, some feel the small business should get the tax cuts...that's a part of Politics....

However...getting facts crossed and it causing blame where blame is not deserved is not a fair part of politics.
