I have been on coumadin chronically for 3 or so years now because I am at high risk for clotting (have had them in my lungs and legs). Not sure if I feel tired or not on it. As Pepsi said, the hardest part is regulating the INR levels. Mine are always a mess, either too low or too high. I have found that whenever I am on certain medications, my INR's shoot right up. Merrem is one of them, so are Diflucan and Vancomycin. My INR has been as high as 9 (theraputic for me is between 2 and 3). I also find that whenever I am getting a whopping infection (sepsis), my INR's are very high as well. As far as the low side, if I go nuts with the dark greens in my diet, then my INR's will drop. Anything with high Vit K in it will counteract the coumadin. That's why I don't take ADEK's, just extra A, D and E but no K because I would have to take huge amounts of coumadin to regulate those INR's. Even though I have been on this for years, I get weekly draws to check my levels because they fluctuate so much. Hope you have better luck!
