Okay, my husband and I are now making major decisions concerning IVF and what we're going to do. We're about to fill out papers for the grant. Then we are going to be praying over a few different options we looked into and see how good they are. At the same time we're going to look into different facilities and see their experience... etc.

I know there are places that have worked for others and because my dad lives in the same state of one of those locations, maybe we'll be looking there too.

Decision-making is very hard for me, but I know my prayers will be answered. I'm sure many of you are praying people. We are really looking forward to having children so if you would be so kind to include us in your prayers it would be much appreciated.

I feel weird posting this in the prayer request area because I know that those requests are more for the people who need to get better.

I'll be praying... are you looking into clinic's out of town? We did ours in Seattle were Mark and Julie went but we live in Atlanta, Ga. Hope everything works out smoothly for you guys!!!

My dad lives in WA... so I was thinking about there too. I don't know how far from Seattle he lives though. We'll see. I was thinking mostly about there because of Julie's success.

My goal is to actually start everything after of the pretesting stuff in next June or July... so hopefully by next August I'll be able to say that I'm expecting. I have had a hysterosalpingogram... I need to do other tests... CF gene testing being a major one. My husband needs to do the biopsy test for sperm. He's already had the other more obvious test that gave the expected results of infertility.

So now we start preparing these papers and see what happens. Before I send these papers off though I plan on fasting and praying over whether or not sending money to the organization and applying for the grant is the right things to do.

I'm so glad I have people to talk to who have actually been through this. It makes me feel so much better.

Best of luck to you. Me and my wife just got pregnant from IVF. Find a clinic you like and has a good history of working with cystic fibrosis. I don't know if the biopsy is worth the money or not most clinics can do a blood test or two to check levels and can figure from there if he is indeed producing sperm or not. We thought about it but just went of the blood test mostly for money reasons. Remember it is stressfull and to stay close and communicate no matter what and this board is always willing to offer advise/help <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> best of luck.
