Ok here we go........ i messed the last link up when i edited my post and forgot to re list the links....

I have been using the Jarrow brand 500 mg.
They say to increase the uptake of the Gsh orally you should take 500 mg. vit.C with each dose. I did that for a few years and have stopped doing that and i still notice a difference when i take the GSh by itself.

As for NAC...... yes it helps <b>but</b> there are also problems with it actually getting out of the cells that the NAC is helping the body to produce. I also read that very large doses of NAC can be toxic, so i have not gone the NAC route yet. <b>I figured since GSH is not toxic and is exactly what the cf body is depleted of, then why go the long route to get it thru NAC when i could just as easily take GSH itself?</b>
I guess to each his own....what works for one may not always work for the other, which is why it is good to have options.

It says in most articles about oral GSH that you can take NAC along with it to have a better effect.
<b>I have not ever taken NAC and have still had great results</b> so you can take GSH all by itself. Its a matter of choice and affordability.
Like i always say what works great for one, may not always work so great for another. Its a trial and error deal like just about everything else. At some point i may choose to add oral NAC into my regimen along with Oral GSH , but i would not take NAC exclusively without taking the GSH.

The other reason I chose it is, is that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation chose to investigate oral NAC and not GSH. They however are doing a study on INHALED GHS. When I saw the supplements move to a second testing phase, I knew CFF had success oral NAC. The second phase is to adjust dosing.

I have a doctor friend who's specialty is supplements. He told me about NAC back in the mid nineties, but unfortunately I didn't heed his advice. His advice is to take certain supplements 3 weeks on, 1 week off to give the liver a rest, to be on the safe side. He also recommends taking certain supplements Mon, Wed, and Fri. Since I was so sick and thought the chance of the Pseudomanas and MRSA was more likely to destroy me rather than the NAC, I chose to take it without a break.

I don't which is better to use. I know that all of what I do is working for me. My cultures show NOTHING. Which is astonishing. And I recently had my doctor run blood tests to check all my levels for everything. All normal. My recommendation for everyone is to get approval from your doctor for ANY supplement for which you intend using.
