We spend for a family of just the two of us about $100-$120 a week! That does not include the Walmart/Target bill that is around $50-80 every two weeks. We use to be able to spend around $75 at grocery store but no way not anymore if you want to eat variety and eat well. We eat out on Sat night and sometimes fri but Mon-thurs and sundays we cook. It is so expensive, I hate it! I also am getting so tired of cooking!

We have a family of 6- and we spend about $175 per week. We do eat out about 2-3 times a week too. Usually on the weekends. It is crazy!! Especially when my husband is out of work right now due to the economy! Right now I have been holding off on things I usually buy at Walmart- like the extras that you can do without- but don't want to. That usually adds up to a good $200-$250 a month itself.

I've recently tried to figure out how much I spend on food...Probably about 150/week and that is cooking everynight. Here is a site to checkout if you are going to try to claim as a medical expense on your taxes.

We spend about $400-450 a week on food for our family.</end quote></div>

Yes but Tom you are feeding a football team there.

We tend to do a monthly shop with a top up of fresh dairy as we go along, luckily we both work in a supermarket (grocery/dairy) so its not a problem and we get a 10% discount also. So on a whole we spend about £450 every 4 weeks. Oh whats that in $?....$650?
