I know there are a handful of people out there who are MUCH more knowledgable about this topic than I am, so if you could please assist I'd be very grateful!

Mark's doctor wrote him an rx for growth hormone. Insurance denied it. We will be appealing, and I'm looking for some links to GH information related to CF, studies and whatnot. Even if the studies are just in children, I would like to read them and see if there is anything that might help his argument.

My friend is a world renowned DR and he wanted to prescribe me GH for my CF (he is not a CF doc but a very intelligent eye specialist). I am a normal size female. He thought that GH would help my CF. My CF doc thought I was crazy and would not let me even entertain the idea. When I read your post it made me think.

Can't help u w/ figuring out how to get them covered, even hard to for children to get approved, cause I think they r very expensive...Let us know what u find out Julie. I think GHs are an interesting area, glad to see a CF doc is wanting to try them. They are using them on elderly w/ good results, so I can see how they could possibly help an adult CFer.
