Handicap parking

I know this isn't the most 'ethical' of things, but if your handicap tag has expired, buy a larger air freshener and when your handicap tag is up position the freshener so it hangs over the expired date sticker. This way if a cop strolls by he see that you have a placard but the date is obstructed from vision.(and probably won't bother investigating seeing as you actually have a placard). It might just let you make it through till you are able to get your docs to sign off on one. You shouldn't have to suffer without it if you need it.

Was it part of a broader conversation at all? was he trying to get you to exercise or something? I can't believe a CF dr would act in such a manor as that....

I would absolutely get a new Dr, if he can't explain something like a handicapped tag to you how can you trust him on the bigger issues?

I did not get a handicappedtag until I was around 30% predicted, but realized afterward how many times i chose not to do things because I was concserned with getting in the places. I think if you feel you need it the Dr needs to listen hard and have a damn good conversation with you...but I would change dr anyway

I wanted to get one but my doc said you have to have less than a liter lung function and I even saw this on the form too so I do not qualify. How do you get one if it is over 1 liter? Are your docs just checking the box that you are over a liter???? Confused.
