Have you ever picked up a bug in the hospital?

I started culturing MRSA when I was abotu 15 and they think I picked it up in hospital. Otherwise I have picked up other random things but NOT bacteria in my lungs. The past few hospital stays I had before transplant (each hospital stay from April of 2006 til April 2007 I pickd up some sort of stomach bug and spent half of my IV treatment with nausea, vommiting and the runs (and we are not talking typical CF poo either).
Otherwise MRSA is the only bacteria (I cultured in my lungs) that they think I picked up in the "Big house".

I have not cultured MRSA since 01, but they still treat it as if I have it. Like when I'm inpatient, I'm isolated.

I went into the hospital in 2003 to have a blockage removed from my intestinal area, and during recovery I got pneumonia. I ended up on a ventilator for 6 days till they found a drug combo that finally started working for my lungs. It was an awful experience, and scares me to think that I picked something up in a hospital that could have done me in.
