We thought the NeoSure was great - I'm sure it still is - but our daughter's 2 month check-up was today and she's dropped to about a 1/2 oz weight gain per day. She was at over an ounce per day at 1 month old. The dietician and doctor decided to increase her enzymes to 7 - 8 beads (up from 5 beads) per feeding. My husband and I are going to add more formula to her fortified breastmilk than previously directed - I don't think it could hurt!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> We go back in 2 weeks for a weight check. I hope it's just an issue of adjusting the enzymes as they didn't tell us to increase her fortification amount....she weighs 10lbs 7.5oz, by the way.

What kind of enzymes is he on? Not all enzymes work with all children. The doctors were on me about my daughters weight. When she started kindergarten a month before her 5th birthday she weighed 27 pounds. Which was way under weight. But before she was diagnosed when she was 3 she was always in the 25th percentile. I mentioned the enzymes to her doctors but they wouldn't change them, so when we moved to a different state and got a different doctor I had them change her enzymes. She gained 10 pounds in 3 months.

My daughter is 2 and we have had an impossible time getting her to gain weight, she was 17 pounds at a year, 19 pounds at 18 months and 20 pounds at two. We have tried everything. Our doctor had us add oil and cream to her bottles, this did not help, but recently we started adding coconut oil to her food and her bottle, she loves it and she gained 2 pound in the monht since we started using it. It has worked great and has lots of health benifits.</end quote></div>

I went to a health food store to buy the coconut oil and when I was asked what I was using it for the sales person told me I could not use it for gaining that it was for losing weight is there a certian kind that I need to get for gaining weight and where can I get it? Thanks
