Dosn't bother me, but have always wondered why when the magority of forum members are from the US and while I am online here in the UK, and its now the middle of the night in the US, there are still over 750 viewers at this moment watching.

Just looked at the number of registerd users, 7644, and 777 guests browsing, thats about 10%, maybe thats not that unusual a figure........I think you are paranoid<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I would guess that the majority of those 'unregistered users' are actually bots visiting the site to index the content here. The administrator of the site could probably tell from the web logs.

well I don't mind lurkers on the forums, but I have often wished the (my) blogs could somehow be made only visible to registered users. We can get pretty personal in those and it has occurred to me more than once that I bet some of my friends/family reads my blog on the sly.

And if there are 777 guests browsing in the middle of the night I would go with Lisa V's theory that a lot of that is from "bots that are web spidering". Count me in as one of the ones that rarely logs in. I only login when I post and I don't post that often - 99.9% of the time I am on here I would show as a guest browsing I guess. I am always surprised at how much personal info people post in here and on their blogs though - sometimes I wonder if they forget that it is public.
