Hmmm...cold Tobi

I take all any of my refridgerated meds out early enough so they arent too cold.

The same way my veins constrict when doing iv meds when they were too cold I would think would happen with the airways & tobi or pulmozyme.

Obviously some are more sensitive then others which is why some peoople dont notice any problems.

BTW KrazyKat I wouldnt recommend your method because even that of a short of period IMHO could change something in the compound. Just take it out when you start your treatment so by the time you get to that it should have enough chill off of it!

Melissa i hadn't even considered that i must admit. Hell, maybe that's why i have had precisely zero improvement in my FEV1 since starting HS! Ok, i'll start doing what you suggest and see if it makes any difference.

I think Melissa (correct me if I'm wrong) meant don't put your Tobi in the microwave (or otherwise heat it up, other than leaving it out at room temp). The HS should be just fine- it's just sterile salt water.

The only thing I would be concerned about (now that I think about it) is that the plastic in the HS vial might give off chemicals if you heated it in the microwave- maybe you should put it in the pari neb and microwave it for 7 seconds, lol .

Oh, and my dr. told me that the biggest thing HS does is help to decrease the frequency of exacerbations, more so than improving lung function (don't know if that helps or not, but I thought I would throw it out there ).

Am I correct in thinking that you are keeping hypertonic saline refrigerated? I'm not sure why you would be microwaving it, because it's supposed to be stored at room temperature.
