I decided to have my acupuncturist work on acupressure with me instead of needles. I have a few reasons for this and will see if there is a difference.
In the meantime, I am going to work with a practioner of Energy Medicine today. She was trained by Donna Eden's school, the author of the book Energy Medicine.

I will share what I learn. That is all I do. I learn, I share and why not? I love to do this. That is my passion.

This lady helped pre transplant and her advice was greatly appreciated. It has been two years since I have seen her.

I might post on my blog what I learn or save it all for a private message....

Colleen Haney is my Energy Coach and she is Lovely. She has a very soothing voice and you can tell she loves what she does. I seem to retain more when I speak to her.

I had to cancel my in person session and had a phone session which is very therapeutic.

I just found her website and did not know she has one. check her out.

She helped me for a few months before my transplant. Preparing for surgery is one of her specialties.

Wheezie,

We have some things in common. I saw your post asking questions about transplant in the future. We are near the same FEV1<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I have decided this week to start on AquaDeks, multivitamin formulated for CF patients. I believe our malabsorption is a benign element that is the root of many things. I am also going to start juicing. There are many fruits and vegetables that have anti-inflammatory qualities. I am drinking a carrot juice concoction. Just FYI, being at what is considered a lower FEV1, I exercise daily (about a 2 mile walk), I do all of the CPT, and I really feel great. I believe it is very possible to diligently focus on staying off of the transplant list. I had a pre-transplant eval. almost a year ago and have continued to increase my FEV1. I would like the medical advances to be "super" if I cross that bridge. I think they are great now, but there are a few things in the research stage that might improve outcomes. That being said, all of the healthy things you do now (ie exercise), help you as a CF patient as well as a transplant candidate.
