Hi all!
Riza - please PM me with ISBN # on the book and all info needed to do an Amazon search or B&N search.
Energy work or whatever methods one looks into are well worth the investment. I do a bit of Reki on myself and have learned that I must be careful when healing others as I seem to drain myself down to much.....and am more suseptable to infections after that....<SIGH>.
I haven't tried acupuncture, but have heard many other very positive testimonies from friends will all sorts of ailments about how well it works. I'd consider trying to find a very reputable practioner - not just anyone iwth a shingle hanging out. I know there are some certifications out there, but can't really give you good info on the issue. Personally I think getting a massage at least once a month is good for 'us' - if you can plug into a local school of massage theray as a guinea pig - you can often get super rates and go weekly. Until my work hours changed, I was getting a massage by student every 2 weeks and did very well that winter. If not, an hour runs about $60 in the midwest; not sure what other areas charge.
Supplements and other 'alternative' drugs need to be carefully assessed and explore them one at a time. They are generally helpful considering our nutrition is not the best.
Some of you that take them and have had great results (or those who haven't): I would appreciate PMs with brand names. Currently two I stick with are B vitamin formula daily and Saravento (Cat's Claw) which enhances immunity. I also will use the Zicam products first when starting to get sick (they kinda transcend the medication/supplememnt realm).
I would never give up the traditional Western medicines that help me but am willing to explore and implement alternatives when possible.
We have to serve as our own researchers here!
