How come I didn't know this?

Wow,

This SHOCKS ME! I had no idea that this was possible... I am actually quite dependent on tylenol due to sinus headaches and i have discussed this with many doctors throughout the past few years. Many of them are aware that i have been taking tylenol... i have never been warned.

Have you found any further information regarding this?

I have nothing to back what the doctor said. Though I've always known that tylenol can created liver concerns. I'm not one to take much meds if I don't have to, but once again -- CF changes everything!!!

Here is an arguement for tylenol use (i just made it up though so don't take me seriously): Because ibprofun is so useful in preventing the lung damage that eventually leads to lung failure it might be a good idea to avoid use of ibprofun for general purposes to spare the kidneys any "extra punches" assuming the patient's liver can withstand the tylenol. (ibprofun is eventually hard on the kidneys.)

On the other hand since ibprofun is so good at preventing inflammation that leads to lung damage then maybe it is good to just use ibprofun for everything (general purposes as well as CF treatment.) although it does seem like it woud be hard on the kidneys at some point. so i don't really know... I tend to agree with the previous posters who said they think that this would be relevant in patients who have liver involvement but that it is not a big deal in patient's without liver involvement.

OMG i hope i havent hurt my baby! NO ONE ever told me that! and i knew arionna had cf when i was pregnant.. i was obcessed... i researched EVERYTHING.... never heard that................. im glad u said something

Do be careful though, I having been taking tylenol all my life (19/cf) and I though I'd never get liver problems, but I have them. Pam,
Talk to your Dr. about B2 for the migraines. They have done wonders for our daughter and are commonly used for migraines. It is a water soluble vitamin so whatever the body doesn't need will leave the body in his urine. My daughter is 6 yrs old and takes 2 / day.
