How long does it take to neb Tobi?

Plenty of people want the eFlow - I'd venture to guess that most of us that don't already have one are in that predicament because our docs feel it is unsafe to neb tobra through the eFlow.

I use the devilbiss pulmo aide and tobi takes me a good 30 minutes. This, of course, includes the fact that I have to stop and cough throughout the neb and I actually stop the neb when I cough so as not to waste the medicine. If I could breathe it straight through with no pauses, it'd prbly take about 20 minutes.

It takes me about 45 minutes with the Pari LC nebs using either the Devilbiss compressor or the Pari compressor. Docs keep telling me I need a new compressor, which hasn't solved the issue. Here's my conclusion: Both my albuterol and Pulmozyme are 2.5 ml (takes about 20 minutes each), but the Tobi is 5 ml so isn't the Tobi supposed to take longer?</end quote></div>

Barb - methinks something is not right! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0"> Albuterol and Pulmozyme take us about 6 mins each, using the PARI LC Plus nebs and some generic compressor that we got at diagnosis. TOBI takes about 22 minutes. I hope you can find a neb/compressor situation that fixes this for you because your times seem way too long! <img src="i/expressions/clock.gif" border="0">

More medication does equal longer time. But if it is taking 45 minutes something isn't right. You could need a a new filter for your compressor or a new compressor all together if yours is old. Or you could have a defective cup. It should take about 20-25 minutes.
