how often do you vacuum?

We vacuum probably once a fortnight, despite the face that we have a huge double coated dog <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> Our carpet is green with black hair streaks, ha. We both work fulltime and to be honest, I have no idea where I'd find time on weekdays anyway.

I do once a month only when I see things like lint on the rug. I hate vacuuming. I am also not convinced it makes that much difference. Maybe if my kids were affected by me not vacuuming I would take action. But until then I am not doing anything.

Yeah! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who vacuums (or dusts) rarely. I thought there was something wrong with me that I could allow things to go so long. But I'd rather play with the kids. With a full-time job, I get so little time for myself as it is, I'm not going to spend it vacuuming.

Someone posted a thread in the "adults" section some weeks/months back about a show where they talked about vacuum cleaners. The brushes of vacuum cleaners can spread germs while they pick up crumbs. So if you have a normal vacuum cleaner, it's possible that it isn't doing a heckuva lot of good. (We have a hand-vac and threw out the attachment with brushes. And we clean it thoroughly, with peroxide, every time it gets emptied.)
