How well do you smell?

i have a weak sense of smell. i have for a long time. i know when i was in 2nd grade i had polyps removed from my nose and that may have had something to do with it, but i have no idea. i can only smell things that are really strong. ask me to smell a flower and it's about a 50/50 shot whether or not i can smell it.

Very weird, I never heard of people with CF complain about this. My sense of smell is fine... I might even say I'm a little oversensitive with strong smells. I can smell good foods cooking, rain, grass, bad breath, garbage, everything. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> Then again, I've never had nasal polyps or any kind of sinus problems, so maybe it has to do with that?

My sense of smell is next to ziltch! I can smell things that are REALLY bad or sometimes good. The inbetween smells are hit and miss. Like right now as I sit typing this I can smell the wonderful smell of cat urine in my hardwood floor from the previous tenant. But the candle I have burning next to me I can't smell. Annoying!!! BUT I still have my sense of taste so until that goes I don't mind the non-smelling issue.
