How Were You Diagnosed

Jordan was dx at age 15 by accident, really. He needed an 8 hour spine surgery to correct Sherman's Kyphosis. Since he had been dx with asthma at age 5, our surgeon wanted us to see a pulmo friend of his just to make sure he could handle the surgery. It turns out that this pulmo just happens to be one of the leading CF docs in our state. He immediately started testing for CF, and here we are.

Sweat Test at 2 yrs, becasue I was having cronic sinusitis, and reoccuring polyps.

Maeve had 2 abnormal newborn screens followed by an elevated sweat test, all finally confirmed at about 2 1/2 weeks. She was apparently the first baby diagnosed in Missouri from the newborn screen, which was actually only in trial phase. Ironically we live in Illinois.
