Yes and it doesn't seem to bother me since my FEV1 is 95%.

If I had a lower FEV1 like Breezy and it was causing me problems, I'd be moving.

But no problems here with an FEV1 like that

Hey Bree.

I totally understand the humidity thing. I LOVE the humidity though. It does make it hotter at times, but for me I have grown up in the humid weather here in FL. I find that I have a much harder time when I am in dry climates than in humid ones. That is NOT to say that I did not have some difficulty - especially last year when my lung function was dropping steadily - but the alternative for me kept me going - meaning I KNEW that if the climate were dry I would NOT be able to do anything.

I found that if I carried a portable (handheld) battery powered fan it helped a bit. I always had extra water. For me sweating was more of the issue with the humid weather than the heat itself. Also I would wear sleeveless shirts and sandals and such more often - actually pretty much all the time. I would carry a jacket or sweatshirt in the event that it got randomly cold - but typically I tried to dress in a way that would keep me cooler even with the heat. Try to make sure that you are going somewhere that will have shade or the ability to retreat from the heat and humidity. I KNOW sometimes that is hard especially when the humidity is so high it is like a damp weight on the everything - it gets that way alot here. I swear sometimes I felt like it added 10 lbs to MY weight just by walking outside the air felt so thick and heavy with the humidity.

Sorry that you are having to deal with the humid weather - but I know for me I took it for what it was worth but then again I never had the real severe problems with the humidity even when I was struggling to get around - the humidity wasn't the problem .

Take Care of Yourself and I hope that you can figure out something to help you out with the situation.

Aww, thanx for the replies guys!

It is so odd, b/c for the first time in my life, the humidity is really affecting me. I have grown up in it, b/c Ontario is a very humid place in the summer so it is def. not something i am not used to.

I meet with my doc on the 14th and will have to tell her what is up, that is, if she doesn't call me with regards to the over night O2 sat thingy i need the other night. I'm sure she will!!

Again, thanx for your replies and I am taking it all into mind!
