Melissa..to add on here. The one thing that cut back my running was when I had my gall bladder removed. The pain sidelined me for 2.5 weeks...it was so lame! It takes a lot to get me outta my routine. My last lung infection in Feb I ran 4 miles the morning I was admitted and was itching for a treadmill the whole stay haha. Usually the first day or second day of a cold will put me on hold for a day...luckily it's been almost two years since my last cold.

I swim at an indoor pool at least 2 days a week and usually 3 days a week. I finally brought my mini trampoline downstairs, and I am going to try to use it for the days inbetween.

(sidenote to Melissa- I try to swim when I'm not quite up to snuff- at least go and kick around in the pool to keep up the routine- unless I have a fever)

I work a full-time job, then play with my R/C Cars!

If you knew how heavy the equipment for my cars were, you wouldn't be laughing! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

At work, I get some fairly heavy steel blocks to lift every so often...other than that, I have little energy to get much more excercise these days <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I don't exactly belong here because I have bronchiectasis, not CF. But some of my treatment seems to be similar to that of people with CF so I lurk and learn here. I post regularly on the bronchiectasis r'us forum, and I often link people over there to threads that I read here. We have quite a few people growing fungi, MRSA, PA...etc.

Hey Melissa,

You do belong here, so welcome to the site.. Have you met Bree (Breezy) she also has brochiectasis (among other probs) maybe you are similar..

<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> joni

Anyway, my question is at what point do you pull back from your exercise routine? When you are running a temp? Some other marker? And at what point do you start it up again?

Thanks.</end quote></div>
