I get very cold too and I do wonder if it is woman thing. I suggest just dress in layers and Fleece is very warm and soft. I find if I do the layers and I am fine. Drinking warm tea and hot chocolate helps a little bit. But mainly dressing in the layers is what helps me out. Keep your feet warm too that seems to help. WHen my feet are cold I am cold.

Good Luck!

Fortunately, or unfortunately, I am a hot type of person. But, sometimes when I don't feel well I get cold. The things that work the best for me are keeping my extremeties warm. I used to put on multiple layers of socks and keep my feet in front of a space heater when I would go to bed. Once my feet got warm, the rest of me was always warm too! It makes perfect sense too, your body will restrict blood flow to your extremities to keep your core warm, if you warm your extremities, the rest of you should become warm too. Also, I bought a really warm blanket, I need to find out what brand it is, but it is so ungodly warm that even my girlfriend, who likes it literally 80 or more degrees in the house or she is cold, refuses to use it. It was really expensive, almost $300, but if keeping warm is an issue, it is money well spent. If I get over to pick it up this week (it is at my gf's parents house in storage) I will let you know what brand it is.

I don't have CF, but used to be cold all of the time. I started accupuncture for back pain and now I rarely get cold. I am not sure if it is because of increased blood circulation or what, but I have really noticed a difference!

Hi, from what we have experienced, being cold alot of the time has to do with body weight. But you said that is not an issue with you. Low iron too can cause you to be cold alot. Have you had your iron checked lately?

If your feet get sweaty obviously that will make you colder. You need socks that wick away the moisture to help your feet stay dry. Someone else mentioned putting lotion on their feet before bed. I do that too then put on some fleece socks. Makes your feet soft too. But definantly, socks that wick away the moisture should help. Usually you can find these types of socks in an outdoor supply store. Also undergarments that wick away moisture. Polypropolene is good. Expensive though. If it gets windy at all in the cold months, Underarmer Cold Gear is great stuff. It fits snug to your body and designed to keep you warm and dry. Personally I like fleece gloves just for keeping warm, again, I'll slip them on just after putting lotion on my hands. My girls wear fleece gloves unless they are playing in the snow. They are useless then. But I can't say enough about the Underarmer Cold Gear. You must have Cold Gear, they also make a Hot Gear which is for summer time to keep you cool. The football players wear these in the winter and my Rachel says they keep her warm out there on the field in the coldest weather, while we are up in the stands freezing our tooshies off. They are pricey, for women's sizes you can plan on speding $50. for each piece. This is why only Rachel has a pair. Anna never needed them but asked for a pair for next winter now that she's more active.

Hope some of this helps. OH, also hand and feet warmers. They are inexpensive and air activated.
