"CF is an inherited disease that occurs most often in
people whose ancestors come from Northern and
Western Europe."

I think it maybe has to do with the hypothesized? protection from Typhoid Fever offered by being a carrier of CF combined with the frequency of Typhoid outbreaks in Europe versus other continents.

That sounds like a DREAM. I would love to have a type of healthcare coverage that allowed me to move freely when ever I desired! I'm in the process of trying to move but it takes a lot of work.

Florida's humidity DOES make you cough... but it also makes my lungs feel horrible. I can't stand it down there, WAY too much humidity, but also the different parts of Florida effect me differently. I spent a few months in Tampa and was fine, but when I go to the panhandle, if I'm healthy my lungs start bothering me in a week, if I'm not incredibly healthy I'll start coughing the instant I drive across the border.

As for Gatoraid... yes, unfortunately it does have a lot of sugar and some gluten, but the main benefit to Gator/Poweraid is the electrolytes. I feel invincible when I drink then because with CF my body loses electrolytes in a heartbeat. I used to be a dancer and I would walk off stage and literally pass out after a strenuous number, then I started drinking gatoraid and would SKIP off stage feeling perfectly fine. As we sweat we lose electrolytes like crazy. Salt has never been an issue for me, I actually feel worse when I have a lot of sodium intake, but if I'm doing a lot of sports (especially in the sun) and I don't keep eletrolytes in, I feel HORRID.

Remember that there are lower sugar Gatorades, such as Propel and G2, as well as zero sugar/carb drinks Like Powerade Zero. You still get the electrolytes.
