she had her work up on the 2nd sweat test day this wed. will be her 3rd time , she is being followed with pediatric cf doc, she is very pantratic insufficient they said like 250 is what they wanted and she scored a 64? im not sure but it was really low, i have the scores around here some where ill find..her precentiles are good, she was 10lb 9 oz like2 weeks ago and 22.5 in tall. they said that after she eats that i should keep her up right for 20 mins or so to help cut back on the spit up. we do enzymes before we eat, keep away from sick people, and smokers.they taught us how to give her the vitamins, and enzymes that pretty much covers what they have went over..

Graycie is 22mos and just had a hospital stay due to RSV. Even though she takes shots every winter for this she still got it and had to be hospitalized. Things to look for are shallow fast breathing and pulling or retracting. Is her chest retracting when she is breathing? They made us wait a week to see her and my daughter just took her to the ped because it was scarying us the way she was acting. As soon as the ped saw her she immediately called the Clinic and they said pack a bag. After an xray and blood work she was culturing RSV. I would NOT wait. RSV is going around many places.

Retracting means there is involvement of extra muscles not generally involved in normal breathing and means she is working too hard to breathe... you'd see a pulling in between her ribs and around her collarbone when she breathes. If you see anything like that, it's NOT normal. You should only see a rising/falling of her chest when she breathes.
